Scope of this notice
This notice covers visits to our restaurant website and contact by email or telephone. The website has no contact form, online booking system or newsletter. We do not integrate analytics, advertising or social media tracking tools.
Hosting with STRATO
This website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. Page visits involve processing connection and access data, including the IP address, time, requested page or file, volume transferred, response status, browser details and, where supplied, the referring page.
Processing serves page delivery, stability and protection against attacks. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is a secure and reliably accessible website. STRATO receives the hosting data and processes them on our behalf. We have concluded a data processing agreement with STRATO pursuant to Article 28 GDPR.
STRATO specifies a maximum retention period of seven days for visitor IP addresses used to detect and prevent attacks. These differ from customer-accessible logs with modified IP addresses, which STRATO makes available for up to six weeks. Processed hosting statistics may be available for longer.
Cookies and local resources
The website code we provide does not set cookies. When you close the privacy notice, we store only this display preference in your browser’s session storage. The notice then stays closed when you move between our pages in the same browser tab. The entry contains no personal identifier, is not used for recognition or tracking, and applies to the current tab session. Images, flags, styles and scripts are loaded from this website. No external fonts, embedded maps or social media content are included. Image slideshows and the happy hour display work without visitor profiles or transmission to a separate service.
This setting is stored and read on the basis of section 25(2)(2) of the German TDDDG. These operations are required solely to carry out your request, expressed by closing the notice, to keep it hidden for the current tab session. Only the value “1” is stored under the key “cantina-privacy-note-closed-v1”. This entry is not sent to our server.
Contact by email and telephone
When you contact us, we process the information you provide, such as your name, email address or telephone number, message content and related communication data, to handle and answer your enquiry. For a contract or pre-contractual steps at your request, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR applies. Other enquiries are processed under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is appropriate communication with guests and interested parties.
We delete enquiry data once the matter is closed and the data are no longer needed. Statutory retention duties and the necessary establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims may require longer storage. Article 6(1)(c) GDPR applies to statutory duties and Article 6(1)(f) to necessary protection of legal claims. Further use is then restricted to that purpose.
Contacting us is voluntary. Without the information needed for your enquiry, we may be unable to answer it. Please provide only the information required.
External links and Google Maps
Route planning is provided only as a link to Google Maps. Visiting our website alone does not load a Google map. Opening the link takes you to Google’s service, where data are processed under that provider’s privacy information.
Our website does not request your device’s location. Route calculation and any location request take place only within the map service you open.
Sharing the website
“Share website” lets you share our public website address. Where available, clicking the button opens your browser’s or operating system’s sharing function and passes it the restaurant name and website address. You choose the application and recipient. Any further data processing depends on the service you select. Alternatively, after your click the public website address is copied to the clipboard or displayed for manual copying. We do not read existing clipboard contents. We do not collect recipients or delivery confirmations.
Your rights
Subject to the legal conditions, you may request access to your personal data (Article 15 GDPR), rectification (Article 16), erasure (Article 17), restriction (Article 18) and portability (Article 20). Where processing relies on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time for the future without affecting earlier processing. Please use the contact details above to exercise your rights.
Under Article 77 GDPR, you may complain to a supervisory authority, particularly where you live, work or where the alleged infringement occurred. The authority for our location is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin, Germany.
Right to object under Article 21 GDPR
Where data is processed on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then stop processing the data unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests or need the data for legal claims. You may object to processing for direct marketing at any time without giving reasons.
Automated decisions
We do not make solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR in connection with this website or enquiries.
